In 1985, Shannon proudly walked the halls of Monroe Area Comprehensive High School, culminating his secondary education with a strong foundation for the future. It was during these formative years that his passion for history began to blossom, laying the groundwork for his future academic endeavors.

Following his graduation, Shannon ventured to Savannah State University, where he immersed himself in the study of history. In 1997, he proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, a testament to his dedication and scholarly pursuits. Beyond his academic pursuits, Shannon's heart has always been deeply rooted in his faith and his community. A devoted father of two, Amaris and Shannon Jr., he understands the importance of imparting values of love, compassion, and integrity to the next generation.

Shannon's calling to serve as a spiritual guide manifested early in his life. From 1993 to 1997, he dutifully served as a pastor at True Love Baptist Church, where he nurtured the spiritual growth of his congregation with compassion and wisdom. In 1999, Shannon embraced a new chapter in his pastoral journey, assuming the role of pastor at First Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. For the past 25 years, he has fervently preached and taught the word of God, touching countless lives with his message of hope, redemption, and grace.
